What is Optical Character Recognition (OCR) ?
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is the process of converting an image of text into machine-readable text.
For example, if you scan a form or a receipt, your computer saves the scan as an image file. You can’t use a text editor to edit the file, search it, or count its words. However, you can use OCR to convert the image into a text document, with the content stored as text data.
